Writer / Director

Aaron Martinez is an award-winning writer and director that has studied under renowned experimental filmmaker Stan Brakhage at the University of Colorado. He worked over six years in Berlin's trendy commercial, music video and promo industry and recently received an MFA degree from the prestigious AFI Conservatory directing program. 


His short film DIRTY LAUNDRY has been recognized by the Director's Guild of America for outstanding directorial achievement, received the Golden Starfish Award for emerging directors at the Hamptons international Film Festival, as well as the Heritage Award from the American Society of Cinematographers and was nominated for the Student Academy Award. His latest film Olive starring Doug Jones of Pan’s Labyrinth and Hellboy, is just beginning its festival run and premiered as a Finalist in the USA Film Festival. 


Aaron is currently developing a gritty Neo-noir crime series - The Starlight Motel - as well as - CO2 Friendly - a magical realist TV series.
